Counsels Abused Women and Childresn/700+ per year.

Operation Women Shield (OWS), which has been in operation for 5 years, provides counseling, job training, and housing for women of domestic violence. These individuals are vulnerable until they can position themselves to live independently.


This program provides one bedroom apartments for individuals and two room apartments for women with children. The average stay for such individuals until they can find permanent shelter is one to two years. OWS provides tutoring/mentoring services for the children of domestic violence as well. OWS also provides job assistance programs that help train people for employment as well as resume' writing services for such individuals.


This program seeks to make women independent and employable.
